Core i5-11400T vs Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-11400T performs better than the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-11400T has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G. Indeed, the Core i5-11400T has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-11400T. Also, the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-11400T CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i5-11400T has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G. The Core i5-11400T also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-11400T has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
