Core i5-11400T vs Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 comparison

In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 beats the Core i5-11400T in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-11400T in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-11400T has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 5 PRO 1500. Indeed, the Core i5-11400T has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Ryzen 5 PRO 1500. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 PRO 1500. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-11400T. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. A Core i5-11400T CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i5-11400T has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 1500. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Core i5-11400T.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i5-11400T has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
