Core i5-11400T vs Core i7-9700K specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-9700K is faster than the Core i5-11400T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-11400T in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-9700K has slightly more cores than the Core i5-11400T. Indeed, the Core i7-9700K has 8 cores compared to 6 cores found in the Core i5-11400T. Despite this, the Core i5-11400T has more threads than the Core i7-9700K. Our comparison shows that the Core i7-9700K has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-11400T. Also, the Core i7-9700K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-11400T CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-9700K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i5-11400T has more L2 cache than the Core i7-9700K. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-11400T has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
