Core i5-11400T vs Core i7-7700 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-7700 beats the Core i5-11400T in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-11400T in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-11400T has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Core i7-7700 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i7-7700. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-7700 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-11400T. Also, the Core i7-7700 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-11400T CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-7700 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i5-11400T has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-7700. The Core i5-11400T also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i5-11400T has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
