Core i5-11400T vs Core i7-10700 specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Core i7-10700 beats the Core i5-11400T in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-11400T in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-10700 has slightly more cores than the Core i5-11400T. Indeed, the Core i7-10700 has 8 cores compared to 6 cores found in the Core i5-11400T. It also has more threads than the Core i5-11400T. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-10700 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-11400T. Also, the Core i7-10700 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-11400T CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-10700 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i5-11400T has more L2 cache than the Core i7-10700. Despite this, the Core i7-10700 has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Core i5-11400T.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-11400T has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
