Core i5-11400T vs Core i7-10610U benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-11400T performs better than the Core i7-10610U. Despite this, the Core i7-10610U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i5-11400T has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Core i7-10610U that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i7-10610U. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-10610U has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-11400T. Also, the Core i7-10610U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-10610U outputs less heat than Core i5-11400T thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i5-11400T has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-10610U. The Core i5-11400T also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-11400T has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
