Core i5-11400H vs Xeon E5-2650 v4 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Xeon E5-2650 v4 beats the Core i5-11400H in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i5-11400H has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E5-2650 v4 has significantly more cores with 12 cores whereas the Core i5-11400H has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-11400H. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-11400H has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon E5-2650 v4. Also, the Core i5-11400H has a significantly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-11400H CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-2650 v4 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i5-11400H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
