Core i5-11400 vs Core i5-13600K specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Core i5-13600K beats the Core i5-11400 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-11400 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-13600K has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Core i5-11400 has 6 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-11400 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-13600K. Despite this, the Core i5-13600K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-11400 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-13600K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i5-13600K has more L2 cache than the Core i5-11400. The Core i5-13600K also has significantly more L3 cache.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i5-11400 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
