Core i5-11260H vs Xeon E5-2690 v4 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Xeon E5-2690 v4 beats the Core i5-11260H in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i5-11260H has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E5-2690 v4 has significantly more cores with 14 cores whereas the Core i5-11260H has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-11260H. Both the Core i5-11260H and Xeon E5-2690 v4 have the same clock speed. Despite this, the Core i5-11260H has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-11260H CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-2690 v4 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i5-11260H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
