Core i5-10600KF vs Core i7-9700 benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-10600KF is faster than the Core i7-9700. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-9700 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-9700 has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Core i5-10600KF has 6 cores. Despite this, the Core i5-10600KF has more threads than the Core i7-9700. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-10600KF has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-9700. Also, the Core i5-10600KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-9700 outputs less heat than Core i5-10600KF thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i7-9700 has more L2 cache than the Core i5-10600KF. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i5-10600KF has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
