Core i5-10600KF vs Core i3-14100F specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-14100F is faster than the Core i5-10600KF. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-10600KF in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-10600KF has significantly more cores than the Core i3-14100F. Indeed, the Core i5-10600KF has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Core i3-14100F. It also has more threads than the Core i3-14100F. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-10600KF has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i3-14100F. Also, the Core i5-10600KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. The info from our database shows that the Core i3-14100F has more L2 cache than the Core i5-10600KF. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-10600KF has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
