Core i5-10600K vs Ryzen 7 6800HS benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i5-10600K beats the Ryzen 7 6800HS in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 6800HS in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 7 6800HS has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Core i5-10600K has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-10600K. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-10600K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 6800HS. Also, the Core i5-10600K has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 7 6800HS outputs less heat than Core i5-10600K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 7 6800HS has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-10600K. The Ryzen 7 6800HS also has slightly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i5-10600K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
