Core i5-10600K vs Core i7-1365U benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i5-10600K beats the Core i7-1365U in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i7-1365U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-1365U has significantly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Core i5-10600K has 6 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-10600K has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-1365U. Despite this, the Core i7-1365U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i7-1365U has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-10600K. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i5-10600K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
