Core i5-10600K vs Core i7-10700F specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-10700F is faster than the Core i5-10600K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-10600K in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-10700F has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Core i5-10600K that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-10600K. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i5-10600K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-10700F. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. The Core i7-10700F outputs less heat than Core i5-10600K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i7-10700F has more L2 cache than the Core i5-10600K. The Core i7-10700F also has slightly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-10600K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
