Core i5-10600 vs Core i5-12450H benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-12450H is faster than the Core i5-10600. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-10600 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i5-12450H has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Core i5-10600 that has 6 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-10600 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-12450H. Also, the Core i5-10600 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i5-12450H outputs less heat than Core i5-10600 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i5-12450H has more L2 cache than the Core i5-10600. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i5-10600 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
