Core i5-10500 vs Core i5-11400 comparison

In our benchmarks, the Core i5-11400 beats the Core i5-10500 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-10500 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-11400 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-10500. Despite this, the Core i5-10500 has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i5-11400 has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-10500. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
