Core i5-10400F vs Core Ultra 5 135U specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core Ultra 5 135U is faster than the Core i5-10400F. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-10400F in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core Ultra 5 135U has significantly more cores with 12 cores compared to the Core i5-10400F that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-10400F. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-10400F has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core Ultra 5 135U. Despite this, the Core Ultra 5 135U has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core Ultra 5 135U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-10400F. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i5-10400F has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
