Core i5-10400F vs Core i5-1335U benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-1335U is faster than the Core i5-10400F. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-10400F in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-1335U has significantly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Core i5-10400F has 6 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i5-10400F has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-1335U. Despite this, the Core i5-1335U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The info from our database shows that the Core i5-1335U has more L2 cache than the Core i5-10400F. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-10400F has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
