Core i5-10400 vs Xeon W-10855M benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-10400 performs better than the Xeon W-10855M. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon W-10855M in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-10400 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon W-10855M. Despite this, the Xeon W-10855M has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Xeon W-10855M outputs less heat than Core i5-10400 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-10400 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
