Core i5-1035G1 vs Xeon X5570 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-1035G1 is faster than the Xeon X5570. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon X5570 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i5-1035G1 has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Xeon X5570 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-1035G1. Despite this, the Core i5-1035G1 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-1035G1 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon X5570 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache. The Xeon X5570 also has slightly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-1035G1 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
