Core i5-1035G1 vs Xeon E3-1245 v3 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon E3-1245 v3 is faster than the Core i5-1035G1. Despite this, the Core i5-1035G1 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon E3-1245 v3 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-1035G1. Also, the Xeon E3-1245 v3 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-1035G1 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E3-1245 v3 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-1035G1 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
