Core i5-10310U vs Phenom II X6 1055T benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-10310U is faster than the Phenom II X6 1055T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Phenom II X6 1055T in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Phenom II X6 1055T has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Core i5-10310U that has 4 cores. Despite this, the Core i5-10310U has more threads than the Phenom II X6 1055T. With our hardware info, we find that the Phenom II X6 1055T has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-10310U.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-10310U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
