Core i5-10300H vs Core i7-5700HQ comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-10300H is faster than the Core i7-5700HQ. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-5700HQ in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-5700HQ has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-10300H. Despite this, the Core i5-10300H has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-10300H CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-5700HQ CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache. The Core i5-10300H also has slightly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i5-10300H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
