Core i5-10200H vs Xeon E3-1281 v3 specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-10200H performs better than the Xeon E3-1281 v3. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E3-1281 v3 in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E3-1281 v3 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-10200H. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. A Core i5-10200H CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E3-1281 v3 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-10200H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
