Core i3-N305 vs Xeon E3-1245 V2 comparison

In our benchmarks, the Core i3-N305 beats the Xeon E3-1245 V2 in overall performance. Despite this, the Xeon E3-1245 V2 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i3-N305 has significantly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Xeon E3-1245 V2 has 4 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Xeon E3-1245 V2 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-N305. The info from our database shows that the Core i3-N305 has more L2 cache than the Xeon E3-1245 V2. Despite this, the Xeon E3-1245 V2 has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Core i3-N305.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i3-N305 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
