Core i3-N305 vs Ryzen 7 PRO 3700U comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 7 PRO 3700U is faster than the Core i3-N305. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-N305 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i3-N305 has significantly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 7 PRO 3700U has 4 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 7 PRO 3700U has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-N305. Also, the Ryzen 7 PRO 3700U has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i3-N305 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 7 PRO 3700U. The Core i3-N305 also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i3-N305 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
