Core i3-N305 vs Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-N305 is faster than the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i3-N305 has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U. Indeed, the Core i3-N305 has 8 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i3-N305. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i3-N305 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U. The Core i3-N305 also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i3-N305 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
