Core i3-N305 vs Core i3-1220P specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Core i3-N305 beats the Core i3-1220P in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-1220P in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i3-1220P has slightly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Core i3-N305 has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i3-N305. Our comparison shows that the Core i3-N305 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-1220P. Despite this, the Core i3-1220P has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i3-N305 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-1220P CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i3-1220P has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i3-N305. The Core i3-1220P also has significantly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i3-N305 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
