Core i3-9300 vs FX-8300 comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i3-9300 performs better than the FX-8300. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the FX-8300 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the FX-8300 has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i3-9300 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the FX-8300. Also, the Core i3-9300 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i3-9300 CPU outputs less heat than a FX-8300 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
