Core i3-9300 vs Core 7 150U benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-9300 is faster than the Core 7 150U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core 7 150U in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core 7 150U has significantly more cores than the Core i3-9300. Indeed, the Core 7 150U has 10 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Core i3-9300. It also has more threads than the Core i3-9300. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-9300 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core 7 150U. Despite this, the Core 7 150U has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core 7 150U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i3-9300. The Core 7 150U also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i3-9300 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
