Core i3-9100F vs Xeon E3-1220 v5 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-9100F is faster than the Xeon E3-1220 v5. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E3-1220 v5 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i3-9100F has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E3-1220 v5. Also, the Core i3-9100F has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i3-9100F CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E3-1220 v5 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache. The Xeon E3-1220 v5 also has slightly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i3-9100F has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
