Core i3-9100F vs Ryzen 7 PRO 3700U benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-9100F is faster than the Ryzen 7 PRO 3700U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 PRO 3700U in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Ryzen 7 PRO 3700U has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-9100F has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 PRO 3700U. Also, the Core i3-9100F has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 7 PRO 3700U outputs less heat than Core i3-9100F thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 PRO 3700U has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i3-9100F. Despite this, the Core i3-9100F has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 7 PRO 3700U.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i3-9100F has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
