Core i3-9100 vs Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE beats the Core i3-9100 in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i3-9100 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-9100 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE. Also, the Core i3-9100 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE outputs less heat than Core i3-9100 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i3-9100. Despite this, the Core i3-9100 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i3-9100 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
