Core i3-9100 vs Core i5-10200H specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Core i5-10200H beats the Core i3-9100 in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i3-9100 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Core i5-10200H has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-9100 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-10200H. Also, the Core i3-9100 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i5-10200H outputs less heat than Core i3-9100 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache and L3 cache.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i3-9100 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
