Core i3-8350K vs Xeon X5680 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon X5680 is faster than the Core i3-8350K. Despite this, the Core i3-8350K has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon X5680 has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Core i3-8350K has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i3-8350K. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-8350K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon X5680. A Core i3-8350K CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon X5680 CPU because of its much lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i3-8350K has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Xeon X5680. The Core i3-8350K also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i3-8350K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
