Core i3-8350K vs Xeon E5-2673 v4 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Xeon E5-2673 v4 beats the Core i3-8350K in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i3-8350K has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E5-2673 v4 has significantly more cores with 20 cores whereas the Core i3-8350K has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i3-8350K. A Core i3-8350K CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-2673 v4 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i3-8350K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
