Core i3-8350K vs Xeon E5-2630 v2 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-8350K is faster than the Xeon E5-2630 v2. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-2630 v2 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E5-2630 v2 has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Core i3-8350K has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i3-8350K. Our comparison shows that the Core i3-8350K has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E5-2630 v2. The Xeon E5-2630 v2 outputs less heat than Core i3-8350K thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i3-8350K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
