Core i3-8350K vs Xeon E5-1650 v2 comparison
In our benchmarks, the Xeon E5-1650 v2 beats the Core i3-8350K in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i3-8350K has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Xeon E5-1650 v2 has significantly more cores than the Core i3-8350K. Indeed, the Xeon E5-1650 v2 has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Core i3-8350K. It also has more threads than the Core i3-8350K. Our comparison shows that the Core i3-8350K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E5-1650 v2. A Core i3-8350K CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-1650 v2 CPU because of its much lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i3-8350K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
