Core i3-8350K vs Core i7-9700F benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-9700F performs better than the Core i3-8350K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-8350K in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-9700F has significantly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Core i3-8350K has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i3-8350K. Our comparison shows that the Core i3-8350K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-9700F. The Core i7-9700F outputs less heat than Core i3-8350K thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i7-9700F has more L2 cache than the Core i3-8350K. The Core i7-9700F also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i3-8350K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
