Core i3-8350K vs Core i7-7700HQ benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-8350K is faster than the Core i7-7700HQ. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-7700HQ in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i7-7700HQ has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-8350K has a much higher clock speed than the Core i7-7700HQ. The Core i7-7700HQ outputs less heat than Core i3-8350K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i3-8350K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
