Core i3-8350K vs Core i7-6700 specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-6700 performs better than the Core i3-8350K. Despite this, the Core i3-8350K has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Core i7-6700 has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-8350K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-6700. The Core i7-6700 outputs less heat than Core i3-8350K thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache and L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i3-8350K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
