Core i3-8300 vs Xeon E-2276M comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Xeon E-2276M performs better than the Core i3-8300. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-8300 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E-2276M has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Core i3-8300 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i3-8300. Our comparison shows that the Core i3-8300 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E-2276M. The Xeon E-2276M outputs less heat than Core i3-8300 thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Xeon E-2276M has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i3-8300. The Xeon E-2276M also has significantly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i3-8300 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
