Core i3-8145U vs A8-7600 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A8-7600 is faster than the Core i3-8145U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-8145U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the A8-7600 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-8145U. Despite this, the Core i3-8145U has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i3-8145U CPU outputs less heat than a A8-7600 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the A8-7600 has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i3-8145U
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i3-8145U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
