Core i3-8130U vs N200 benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-8130U is faster than the N200. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the N200 in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the N200 has significantly more cores than the Core i3-8130U. Indeed, the N200 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Core i3-8130U. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-8130U has a significantly higher clock speed than the N200. In terms of cache, the N200 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i3-8130U. The N200 also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i3-8130U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
