Core i3-8100T vs Pentium G4600 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-8100T is faster than the Pentium G4600. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium G4600 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i3-8100T has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Pentium G4600 has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Pentium G4600 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-8100T. A Core i3-8100T CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium G4600 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i3-8100T has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Pentium G4600. The Core i3-8100T also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i3-8100T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
