Core i3-8100T vs Core i7-8565U comparison

In our benchmarks, the Core i7-8565U beats the Core i3-8100T in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-8100T in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Core i7-8565U has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i3-8100T has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-8565U. The Core i7-8565U outputs less heat than Core i3-8100T thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache. The Core i7-8565U also has slightly more L3 cache.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i3-8100T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
