Core i3-8100T vs Core i5-6600 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-6600 is faster than the Core i3-8100T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-8100T in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-6600 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-8100T. A Core i3-8100T CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-6600 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache and L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i3-8100T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
