Core i3-8100T vs Core i5-10300H benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the Core i5-10300H beats the Core i3-8100T in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-8100T in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i5-10300H has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i3-8100T has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-10300H. A Core i3-8100T CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-10300H CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache. The Core i5-10300H also has slightly more L3 cache.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i3-8100T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
