Core i3-8100 vs Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE is faster than the Core i3-8100. Despite this, the Core i3-8100 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i3-8100 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i3-8100. Despite this, the Core i3-8100 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350GE.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i3-8100 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
