Core i3-8100 vs Pentium G4560 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-8100 is faster than the Pentium G4560. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium G4560 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i3-8100 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Pentium G4560 has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-8100 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Pentium G4560. The Pentium G4560 outputs less heat than Core i3-8100 thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i3-8100 has more L2 cache than the Pentium G4560. The Core i3-8100 also has significantly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i3-8100 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
